CAPTAINS

The goal of the HRJC Captains program is to develop your leadership skills while strengthening our team’s culture. If you’re a rising sophomore or junior who wants to lead by example, mentor newer riders, help run events, represent the team at your school, and be a voice for your  teammates with the HRCJ Board of Directors, we want you to apply! 

•  Build leadership, communication, and coaching skills
• Mentor newer riders and help grow team culture
• Be a voice and resource for your team

• Attend monthly captain’s  meetings beginning in January + captain duties integrated into practices, races, and events.
• Plan and execute a captain’s project, to be developed together throughout the captain’s program
• Participate in practices regularly
• Represent the team and your school in a positive and respectful manner 
• Maintain academic eligibility

• Current sophomores and juniors 
• Returning captains may reapply

Applicants will be notified in early January, and we’ll get started with the program early in the new year. Captains are limited to two per school, and will be selected based on the application and coaches’ feedback.
