TEAM HRJC DEVO PROGRAMS

• Team HRJC is a coached cross country development mountain bike cycling team program for riders from 11 to 18 years old (6th-12th grade in 2026). The team is focused on having fun, improving cycling skills, building community, and growing through competition in a sport that can be done for life! 
• While racing is not required, most riders will choose to race several times per year. Team HRJC will provide race support at some races each season to be determined each spring as races are confirmed. Team members may also go to other races with teammates or on their own throughout the season. 
• With the team's focus on youth and elite athletes, all coaches have passed a background check and are certified in SafeSport and with concussion protocols. Every ride group has a coach with First Aid and CPR certifications.
• All HRJC riders receive a team jersey and discounts from our sponsor partners. Race registration fees, travel, and personal equipment costs are not included in the team fees. 
• SCHOLARSHIPS AND LOANER BIKES ARE AVAILABLE- Contact Coach Scott. 
• All riders must have a mountain bike in good working order with disc brakes, tires suitable for the trail, a certified helmet, cycling gloves, eye protection, and weather appropriate cycling clothing. We ride rain (snow?) or shine! 
• Other non-cycling sport participation is encouraged so that athletes avoid single sport specialization burn-out and develop complimentary athletic abilities. School based team sports or Highlands Ranch Community Association sport classes and leagues are ideal. Strength training classes and stretching / yoga are also highly recommended through our partners at Manic and Physio Room. 

2026 Spring Season - Mondays and Wednesdays in April & May  

• Age: 11-18 (6th through 12th grade in fall of 2026)
• Spring Season Mar 30-May 20 (8 weeks, 16 practices), race support)-$610 ($50 early registration discount through Mar 15 = $560)
• Half Season Only Option (8 weeks, 8 practices of your choice, race support)- $385 ($25 early registration discount through Mar 15 = $360)
• Two 2-hour practices per week Monday & Wednesday 4:30-6:30pm. Practices take place at locations around Highlands Ranch & Littleton.
• Pre-requisites: Comfortable riding dirt trails for 1.5+ hours with short rest breaks

2026 Summer Season - Monday and Wednesdays in June & July

• Summer Season June 1-July 22 (8 weeks, 16 practices, race support)-$610 ($50 early registration discount through May 15 = $560)

2026 Fall Middle School Season -  Monday, Wednesdays & Fridays August 10 - October 7

• 6th-8th graders fall of 2026  
• Full Season (9 weeks, 24 practices (no practice on Labor Day and 2 Fridays before HS Saturday races TBD, race support)-$645 ($50 early registration discount through July 15 = $595) 
• Half Season Only Option (9 weeks, 12 practices of your choice, race support)- $435 ($25 early registration discount through July 15 = $410)
• 2-hour practices per week Monday, Wednesday, and most Fridays from 4:30-6:30. Practices take place at locations around Highlands Ranch & Littleton.
• Pre-requisites: Comfortable riding dirt trails for 1.5+ hours with short rest breaks
• Races: HRJC Invitational Race Sept 27 (additional registration)

9th-12th graders: August through October is the Colorado High School Cycling League season. Team HRJC riders in high school are expected to ride with HRJC and race for their school in the Colorado High School Mountain Bike League.
